Excellent analysis Lyn.
As Eric Voskuil argues in Crytoeconimics, there us no guarantee of resistance built into the protocol. When bitcoin becomes important enough and the state makes it illegal, it will be black market money. At that point, our response will determine the future of bitcoin. Hopefully that response is not a fearful one.....

As recommended by Max Hillebrand, together with Maple AI, I’m reading Eric Voskuil’s Cryptoeconomics.
Voskuil’s Axiom of Resistance adds a nuance to the understanding of Bitcoin that every holder should consider…...we are in a phase where Bitcoin is not significant enough to pose a serious threat, but if it gets enough attention, the state will probably force Bitcoin into a “Black Market”.
Are we prepared for this?
