@nprofile1q... in my long experience, btrfs is extremely prone to corrupting itself and shitting the bed in unstable conditions - this is emphatically not the case with XFS.

@nprofile1q... 100% in agreement, especially these days its so packed - although I will note being in SEA/similar or remote teams will absolutely pump up your average numbers, lol.

@nprofile1q... So, I have a few IPF machines that run Gentoo, and well the general open-source community hatred to IPF finally caught up to it and everything forcefully dumped support for it at once - Including official Gentoo support.
But since all gentoo repos contain are just... patches and build automation configs, most packages I can automate support IA64 back for with simple find/replace scripts, and a few key packages (such as Kernel) I can manually update.

@nprofile1q... I fucking love Gentoo. I also hate it at times. But it's very much worth the cost of admission, especially since it provides basically a perfect toolchain and setup to homestead abandoned machines (which I do! All my IPF machines run my own Gentoo repos)
