@nprofile1q... An interesting article which as usual largely ignores #Scotland despite accidental deaths there being higher than anywhere else in the UK. Surely, that's the big news, not that the NE of England has a higher rate than London?!

@nprofile1q... The #ScottishGreens are also vociferously opposing UK involvement in Trump's destruction of the Middle East. Their position on the matter is notably stronger than that of the #SNP. Whilst I will always vote tactically in FPTP elections, I find myself increasingly more aligned with Green than yellow political thinking.

@nprofile1q... This will surely have considerable impact on professions that tend to be staffed by migrants; the NHS for example? People will simply decline to come to work in an increasingly racist country that offers them no long-term security in life.

@nprofile1q... I've just read an article by Stella Creasy about how we might address issues caused by #Brexit. A few good points but remarkably she says we should "trust parliament".

Would that be the same 'winner takes all' FPTP parliament that 'delivered' Brexit and is most likely to be led next by Farage?

Her own leader withdrew the whip from those who opposed a policy that he subsequently reversed.

Our parliament is a disgraceful, chaotic, untrustworthy anachronism.

@nprofile1q... I find it remarkable that those with a duty to protect the public and uphold the law can commit manslaughter and lie, and be totally immune from liability. As far as I'm aware the system hasn't changed so this is still the case?
