The story on eliminating credit card fees for restaurant purchases is bizarre. And the writer is too oblivious to cover the actual issue:
The fees are a combination of oligopoly price discovery, with a fee floor associated with the risk exposure of the credit issuer.
If removing those fees by decree, the state either has to take over the risk and provide the profits for restaurant transactions, or the credit card companies will charge other merchants in Colorado more.

The asymmetry amuses me.

Can anybody explain the near universal claims among us "extreme right" believers, that SPLC paid "hate-groups".
Is there any evidence that the money paid to informers/traitors within those groups were helpful to the operations?
I can see that SPLC became the victim of government lawfare, like Micheal Flynn prosecuted under the Logan act, and Trump prosecuted by various state agencies.
