@nprofile1q... I was left unimpressed with Fate of the Fellowship after a single play. It just felt like everything that could be made unnecessarily complicated, was. The board is quite busy and can be hard to read, ridiculously tiny meeples, enemy cards with split actions, each player having two characters with uneven action splits, etc. It's easily the most fiddly Pandemic.
I think it boils down to this: Fate of the Fellowship felt like it complicates the Pandemic system enough to be bumping up against something like Horizons of Spirit Island, which is a system that I find infinitely cleaner than Fate of the Fellowship for something around the same "weight."
Of course, your mileage may vary. It's sitting at 102 on BoardGameGeek's rankings, putting it above all of the other non-Legacy games in the series. My opinion very much runs contrary to the majority.
