Is there a bitcoin “payment processor” that integrates with Strike (or something else), so that it creates an opportunity immediately to buy bitcoin in the amount that was just spent? A seamless “buy and replace” experience. #asknostr

I'm spitballing here, and I'm probably going to get some pushback on this one (when did that ever stop me?) but here goes. Sometimes I wonder if anti-American forces such as the Russians, Chinese, No...

Do you presume that it’s only foreign governments doing this? I would presume the same for most other large entities that have a stake in a particular outcome. Who has more incentive to delude Americans about giving the Covid vax to children—Russia or the manufacturers.

You’re not explicitly saying this but the way you laid these out makes me wonder if you think red meat causes cancer and heart attacks and that the anti-war stance is wrong.

#[0]’s desire for more micro apps on nostr is critical. We’re having fun with all the social clients being built right now, but the true power of this protocol comes with thousands of smaller ul...

Is there a list of micro app ideas somewhere?

I’m imagining a public roadmap interface like if Nostr was the “product” and micro apps were “features”.

It would be nice to see what are ideas in backlog, what are micro apps already in progress, and micro apps already in production.

Games have a concept of "incremental discovery. Where higher level of complexity is revealed over time. I wish social profiles had a concept like this, where I have normie posts on my main feed, but I...

Not just video games, this is much more akin to real life as well.

When I meet someone new at a pickup basketball game, I don’t also see their views on abortion, Covid, etc.

In real life most people have boundaries by default and only incrementally explore different aspects of acquaintances as they wish.

❤️ this.

✅ better discovery of niche topics
✅ more focus on areas of agreement and interests

Think of all the opportunities and connections lost because people are upset over one area of disagreement.

And the flip side of people not talking about something because of fear of putting off people in their network.

I think those are exactly the right questions.

I think if the ad model is transparent, and there is an effort to present quality companies and maintain a quality experience, and the ads themselves don’t rely on manipulative fear/anger based triggers… Then I would be all for this model.

It doesn’t have to be perfect, but I think I’d know if the effort was genuine.
