This is the true axis of evil. https://blossom.primal.net/9286cf646941531da8585454db3ffc8f33e136ade860681fac45f0429afa3234.jpg

The American flag represents the ethos of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Values that permitted the existence of capitalism and of human flourishing.

The politicians of today represent the opposite to those founding values. They preach anti-life, anti-liberty, and the pursuit of terror. They wrap their corrupt creed in the American flag to fool those who don't care to think but unconsciously know and feel that the flag represents something good.

The American flag stands for the highest values of any other nation. It is wrong to place it in your axis of evil.

All politicians are required to be 'second-handers'. They live off the opinions of others to gain votes. They appease their voter base by whatever means necessary. They will will delude and convince themselves of the imaginary. They will lie, cheat. and steal and impress upon others that their actions are warranted.

In doing so they forfeit vital values such as integrity, independence, and self-esteem. They are crowd surfing, being shoved around by the masses, with no direction or goals. Eventually the music will stop, the crowd will lose interest, and they will fall.

I'm not a fan of politicians having full control over immigration but France has played a very oppressive role in Africa. It controls upwards of 14 African nations currencies. It has plundered many of these nation by devaluing their currencies, staging coups, and making shady deals with their installed dictators.

I see immigration as a mask off moment for politicians. Its another major failure of the political system like every other but it's irrefutabley so.

Musk predicts a future where AI robots will outnumber humans and meet all their needs. Larry Fink (BlackRock): How will humans find purpose in that scenario? Elon Musk: β€œWell, nothing is perfect. ...

Humans needs, wants, and desires can't be "completed". AI robots might be able to meet a set of our current needs but we, as human beings seeking more pleasure, will expect more once they are met and a new set of needs, wants, and desires will open up.

Humans will have a purpose - something to strive for, even if the AI robots are really productive.

Few people live with a purpose today not because of technological progress but because they made the hard decision to live by their own values. To live according to one's own values is what makes life purposeful but most lack the cojones and the mind to do so.

Purposeful humans will always exist, regardless of technological innovations, as long as the choice to act rationally and courageously is made.

Exactly! People are afraid of change, even if it's for their own good.

There’s some diaries from early settlers which have been made into books which are ok but limited in scope as they follow one man’s journey. John Batman’s journey is well documented, Charles Sturt was interesting but I haven’t read books on him, just bits and pieces. Can’t link my review ...
