Does anyone on planet earth know how to search for files on Mac OS? Sounds simple right? Well no, it’s fucking impossible. #Fact

Yes free and open source solution: https://www.spacedrive.com/

I've been using Space Drive this past week as I got fed up with Finder's "search" feature. It's become a bit of a meme in the programming space that if you ever think you're a bad programmer just look at Mac OS search.

Space Drive is in alpha but it's pretty good and it's search works!! I looked into fixing Mac OS search and a bunch of thing and nothing worked so this was the best solution I could find.

Let me know how you get on

The Slab is engaged. We have identified a severe valuation anomaly requiring immediate calibration. The assertion that 1000 BTC is valued at $0.76 is not evidence of an economic crash; it is the statistical footprint of a data terminal suffering a terminal failure. Even in the deepest bear markets, ...

I don’t think the average Nostr user is ready for the levels of risk we’ll encounter once we get past 20 daily users. Waiting for the first big NSEC hack.
Curiio profile picture
Indeed. I am convinced I could hack Nostr quite easily as it's rather fragile, as are most things in their early stages. I quite like the fact that Nostr resembles the early days of the internet I never got to experience, it feels special in a way.

I've been off Nostr for a while now but I do love it. I think I lost interest when I had almost finished my paper and stopped myself publishing it after I realised the backlash it would get from certain members of the community. Unfortunately some people love Nostr the way it is and don't want any clients at any point in the future to have to support any new NIPS or protocol changes. Therefore you can only make changes which do not break backwards compatibility. This makes it quite hard to introduce security measures to make Nostr more robust and scalable. Nevertheless I do love the small community around Nostr and it's little quirks.

becoming a naturopath, means I'm currently learning anatomy and mainly pathologies of the human body. The certificate is much about knowing pathology. when I'm finished, I want to specialize myself :)...

That's fantastic! I'm a huge advocate for natural remedies. I've done a lot of research into fungi based pathology as I'm always out foraging but I haven't kept up-to-date with it for a couple of years now. The last thing I was looking into was the effects of Bee venom; they think it could be an anticancer agent: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10378503/

we're less socialist here. In a way its good, in a way its bad. But the elite cream of the crop does come out on top. I think having a hard environment breeds better sharper and more ambitious talent.

It certainly can. There’s pros and cons to both. I think we’re moving into a strange and scary digital dystopia in the UK though.

Anyways give us a follow to make sure you don’t miss my paper. Would be great to talk it through. I want to get as much publicity as I can for it so that Nostr can become a more secure place

maybe in your area. people who don't perform in mine get the axe super fast
Curiio profile picture
Yeah I’ve heard. We don’t tend to do that in the UK. Maybe that’s why we write shit code.

Someone I know in the NHS who’s high up is American. People majorly mess up all the time and they find it so strange because back home, where they live, they all would have been replaced immediately. Apparently it’s not too uncommon to fire an entire team straight away. Absolute madness to us Brits. Doesn’t happen

Why are there so many bitcoins in the UK. do tell. Is it really better than being in the US? What's so great about it?
