I know someone (ex-colleague) who's just become architect of a project building on BSV. When I brought to their attention the history and prominent figures such as CW and CA they ignored me. I do not understand why they think building on BSV is a good idea, other than it's easier and funding (same argument I hear for other L1s such as SOL). How do we get folks to understand the dangers of their actions.
It doesn't apply due to bitcoin's difficulty adjustment. Bitcoin has a target rate of inflation. More miners and cheaper energy does not increase bitcoin's issuance over the long term.
The proxy Pablo made is a good solution. Not everyone will run their own node but it could be offered as a temporary service for those travelling with data restrictions. Although, battery consumption is also a reason to optimise.
