Much less than 20% of LN transactions are self-custodial on both ends. It’s less than 2%. You’re an order of magnitude off.
At that point you’re basically shilling for a less usable PayPal.

2. Only one side of the transaction needs to be self custodial for it to be a massive improvement over the status quo. The same way using Monero to trade with an exchange account would be better than cuck bucks.
3. In view of 2 it’s a big deal that I can spend bitcoin in any square terminal in the country. No other cryptocurrency has anywhere near that level of adoption with retailers. It doesn’t matter what square merchants do with the bitcoin. I can spend it anonymously and instantly wherever I want with self custody. Meanwhile you live like a college kid off gift cards or whatever gay shit you do
