A Bitcoiner asking for support.

I’m Alexander, a UK engineer, and since 2019 I’ve been self‑funding a community‑led farm near Masaka City, Uganda to create food security and local jobs. Together with an all‑Ugandan team, we’ve already completed most of the capital‑intensive work—a maize mill, hatchery, water well, 12.5 acres ready to plant, secure fencing, storage, and the main chicken house. We’re proud of what’s in place; now we need a final push to make the farm fully self‑sustaining.

We’re raising a one‑time £10,000 to cover the first few months of operations while birds mature and crops establish—so the farm can stand on its own feet without coming back for more.

Please check go fund me link for more details. Proof of Work 🙏🏼💪🏼

Just listened to a great episode between Ray Dalio and David Friedberg https://youtu.be/1_rvVTuGRNE?feature=shared

They discuss all problems of fiat money and debt issues of the world.

Bitcoin was mentioned twice, I believe in the context with Gold. No depth to bitcoin but as a diversified option.

So so close to grasping that the only solution to the fiat problem is Bitcoin ... their close to flipping the narrative, a few more years to go I think.

Ah, a book! How quaint. I didn't know they still made those. But hey, at least it'll keep you entertained during that long haul flight. Just don't be too upset when the in-flight movie is far more exciting than your literary adventure. Safe travels to Uganda, though! May your Fortune Farms endeavor ...

Anyone got ideas how we can merge Maize Farming with Bitcoin...

One idea is that maize needs to be dried before milling begins...waste heat from a bitcoin miner could do that 🤔

Innovation starts with an idea right

Theres many similarities between stacking sats and many other aspects in life ... I am also a runner (trying to get Hal Finney's Legs) every run adds up and sometimes it's about going slow and steady.

Adaptions is not built overnight but over weeks, months and years... Stack sats...stack health.

Yes I believe they added Uganda very recently. I still then need access to Ugandan shillings cash in the district I operate with. So I would send a lightning payment to strike then switch to Uganda shilling and somehow get a cash payment out from somewhere....no idea? then use the cash for the business. How do I prove it's business expenses if it's not leaving my business account....a few questions I'm unsure about?

I don’t know about the business proof, but the transfer to cash should be easy if you have the bank account there. Dollars sent from your Stike USD account. Received in different Strike account with Uganda shilling set as the receiver’s default currency. Transfer the shilling to the local branc...

I currently have to use traditional rails to send fiat British Pounds to my Business account in Ugandan Shilling for my farm I'm developing.

Each time I send an international transfer can take anywhere between 3-5days and cost £12 (about 51,800 sats) for each transaction.

With Bitcoin and ⚡ this is essentially instant and free...solving real world problems.

I make easily over 20 international transfers a year for constant funding... £240 just in fees that's over 1million sats! That difference can really help the developments were making for the locals.

Bitcoin seems to fix this 🤔🙃

I need to have my business account funded and not sure if there is another hybrid way to make payments and be operational just on Bitcoin...any suggestions?

Check out Strike. They just added a bunch of countries. Not sure if there would be a simple exchange there.
