and of course I misread the book and didn't send a squad of rookies with specialists on the starting mission. #ForgedInTheDark game books are infamous for their information spread, I hope I will remember things and won't need to jump between pages as much next time.

And also I guess I was way too chill with consequences of failed rolls, so the only lingering issue is Scouts sprained ankle and some stress around. And our Commander won't be on next session.

okay, starting mission of #BandOfBlades done. We were split between taking Shreya or Zora as our Chosen but in the end my vote elected Shreya, the Chosen of healing goddess. I basically imagined our game to be around Zora or The Horned One so to challenge myself I took the other option. As for the Broken we play with the setup I planned from the start - bodyhorror of Blighter and totalotarian horror of Render. We took psychological horror of Breaker out.

@nprofile1q... I remember something like that! My parents recorded cartoons for me on VHS but im between cartoons they also recorded professor Miodek who spoke about Polish grammar. Imagine my five year old rage when Donald Duck finished his adventures and then there was a lecture about some boring words.

There was this movement with RPGs in Poland where some people claimed that people telling others "just try different system" were a conspiracy of small developers to make you spend money on their products. So yeah. First one has to take their head out of their ass.

@nprofile1q... Isn't it all basically due to DnD 5e popularity and at the same time ifficulty of running it. Which then leads to "DM shortage" issues, people being burned out and looking for any way to avoid the cognitive load which then spills to all other parts of the hobby due to central role DnD 5e has.

Actually the beowulfian nature of creatures and things in #WolvesUponTheCoast would work really well with literary version of #TheWitcher. It operated a lot on archetypical stories turned upside down and epic tales. The abused dog that takes owner's face and becomes an intelligent malicious entity? That's exactly what witcher would need to take care of (and struggle with the answer who to 'save' or who is 'right').
