@nprofile1q... I have described my memory as a shelf of marbles. Add new ones to the edges, sometimes they fall off immediately, sometimes they push off other recently added marbles, sometimes one at the other end falls off.

A bunch of marbles that aren't particularly important but have been there a while, or got thrown on with enough force, are along the back against the wall and will seemingly stay forever. Like the lyrics to terrible songs, or unpleasant memories.

I'm always losing my marbles...

@nprofile1q... I tried over successive cuts (I do my own at home a lot) to let the back grow into a party - but as soon as it got long enough to be obvious I was like yuck, no can do!

Didn't help that it was probably summer when I tried. Too much hot and sweaty in exactly the wrong place, so off it came.

Don't see why you can't try and let it grow out though - maybe with a fauxhawk as a middle ground...

@nprofile1q... that's fine. But if you're willing to install the web apps as PWAs to your phone, they act much like a native app. It might give you some more flexibility :)

@nprofile1q... my ICQ list would say "boioioing, message for you sir!" - a clip from Holy Grail, when I got a new message. The default "uh oh!" was iconic though ..

And when windows got itself into that "illegal operation" error, I had it play "...Mr Flibble's very cross" from Red Dwarf
