As a Shingon Buddhist (though not particularly religious, just like many other Japanese people), I could not miss this special exhibition commemorating the 1250th birthday of Kukai.

Whenever there is a chance, I always take photos of statues both from the front and the back, as it is generally not possible to see them from behind.

Nine years ago today…Keikyu 800 series at Horinouchi, and Keikyu 2000 series at Kanazawa-bunko. These two old trains were about to retire, so Keikyu restored them to their original livery, which were highly popular among railway enthusiasts.
