I'm not sure I agree that a community can never change. I understand why you feel that way, but problems don't mean it can't improve. You're at the center of the community, and people don't want to lose you, so you have more influence than you realize. You could help shape it into what you want and inspire others to change, but that can't happen if you stay silent or dormant. Still, I understand why you'd want to step away.

Every community has an ugly side. There’s no such thing as a perfect community, and there will always be people who cause problems. That doesn't mean it can't improve.

I'm glad you'll still be drawing, but I'm confused since some comments make this sound temporary while others make it seem permanent. I imagine the support you get from your art keeps you going, so I don't know if you want to give that up. Either way, I'll respect your decision, and if you ever return, I'll be happy to see you.

I've fully accepted that it's most likely over, and I've come to terms with that. I'm at peace with it. It really seems like everyone failed you and contributed to this. Since you said this isn't the first time, maybe changing your circle could help break the cycle. If the same things keep happening, something has to change. Either way, I hope you enjoy your time away and get everything done. Your work has always been peak, and if this is the end, it'd be a damn good send-off. I understand.

@nprofile1q... Yeah, this is really bad news and something I was afraid of. Was this always the plan? I remember V saying you were going to retire for a few years even before all this happened, and it seems my fears have come true.

Is there anything we as a community can do to be better? Clearly, there are issues here, so give us a chance to improve while you're away. Hopefully, when you return, things will be better so you can actually enjoy your time with us.

It turned out you weren’t retiring, so either your mods misunderstood you or announced it without your approval. If the announcement and ban never happened, your account and server might still be here. You need to evaluate your inner circle.
