Well said from @Leopoldo López 👍
Autocratic regimes need to be held accountable, and Delcy has currently proven she is not invested in a transition by actions such as destroying homes of opposition leaders, and actively preventing the return of exiled opposition leaders forcing them to take foreign passports.
Leopoldo is on point, there should not be any sanctions relief without accountability and plans for an election.

Exactly- and without a path to returning exiled leaders, undoing the propaganda damage, and fully removing the regime. The same problems will persist. You should all be given tools to rebuild and return and have elections

La autocracia no comienza con las esposas. Comienza cuando otro tiene las llaves — de tu voz, tu dinero, tu identidad. Pasé 7 años en una celda comprendiendo esto. Los candados eran físicos. Pe...

Was thinking about identity. I never realized how dictators can try everything to illegally remove somebody’s native born citizenship and accept a new identity. It scared me and isn’t normal at all. That’s not immigration, that’s forced displacement. But if we found ways where people can own their identity

A governing authority who destroys the homes of opposition leaders, kidnaps their dogs, and illegally strips their birth citizenship is not interested in stability or a transition. Delcy is actively and systemically trying everything in her power to prevent Leopoldo Lopez from returning home with his family, but he must return home for a true transition to begin.
Firmly agree with
@Leopoldo López 👍 on real democratization is needed for stability, otherwise the same problem will continue.

Delcy already crossed a red line destryoing the home of a major opposition leader and kidnapping his dogs, and taking his birth citizenship illegally forcing him to take a foreign passport.
Delcy is acting in impunity. This is not according to US interests, stabilization won't come without democratization.

Who decides when a country is ready for free elections? Three months since Maduro's removal: 670 political prisoners freed. Oil flowing. Embassy reopened. But Cabello remains. The security apparatus...

Very true! I wrote down some points of what I want to see
- Delcy have a date to leave
- Delcy held accountable for destruction of the homes of opposition leaders (and hopefully pets returned) Opposition leaders given tools to rebuild and return
- We also need to see that action condemned on international platforms
- The propaganda apparatus weakening, and cross opposition defense (Maria Corina vocally defending Guaido and his innocence, etc)
- Freedom for all political prisoners
- an end to the "forgetting" (a few years ago isn't ancient history) and including all the opposition leaders and the full decades of struggle instead of just a few years.

In addition, Delcy already crossed a major red line in early March in retailiation against dissidents in forced exile.
This is a sign Delcy will not work with US interests.
We need steps to hold Delcy accountable, and tools for dissidents to return home from exile and rebuild.
