Long time no see Spinsters! Popping in with an observation and question…

I was recently (erroneously!!!) linked to a much younger man (think very early 20’s) that I know through a hobby…and people’s reactions were very interesting…

At first I was quite rightly disgusted with them… and women started saying things like “oh god he’s not even mature looking for his age etc etc” and then i started thinking… if our sexes were reversed you can bet a lot of people (men) would be saying “good on you! Enjoy her! Does she have a sister?” Etc etc.

So… what is an acceptable age gap for you?

10 years? 15? 20? Much smaller? In hetero couples does that change if one sex is older than the other? Are all bets off in a lesbian or gay relationship?

Have reconnected with an old hobby and was genuinely excited to meet an old (male) friend who also participates in this hobby because he was always a nice chap… had received messages from him also saying how much he was looking forward to seeing me etc etc… however through social media I discovered he has clearly had an affair with a younger woman and left his wife in a spectacularly crappy way and it has totally ruined the whole vibe of the thing. Men. 😖
