It seems my concerns about cheap dice for generating entropy for a BIP39 seed were overblown.
According to Kimi K2.6 cheap dice lose effectively negligible entropy compared to precision dice - likely around 0.1 bits.
If you need to buy dice however, you may as well get the better ones IMO.
