What about economic nodes? Lyn alden said that without them there is no chance for a fork to get green light - from what i found that's what happen with SegWit bip-148 in 2017.
Exchanges and businesses announced in advance that after August 1st they would only recognize the chain compliant with SegWit.

Lyn Alden is regarded.

Oh by the way, how's the Sztorc-fork going?

What is the point of this passive-aggressive comment?
Even if they are wrong, they're doing what they believe is free market hard money. It's so strange that in the Bitcoin community there are so many people who, instead of offering merit-based criticism, are hostile and looking for conflict and drama. It only creates resentment and division

aren't we all against fiat slavery debt money ?

Do you know how often Paul has bashed Bitcoin Core for the past decade? Free markets require good information, which includes calling out bullshit forks.

I understand the idea that 20% voted yay, 0% nay, 80% abstained. I agree this is problematic. But I can name many core node runners who publicly were against bip110 and thought it was a bad idea. S...

I also dont understand how it works, if 80% of the network didnt force the fork doesnt this automatically means that they are against it ? Aldo Why mining pools should go along 20% of the network, if they can still have profits from spam and the 80% of nodes will still accept those blocks

The good and the bad about Bitcoin-BLAKE2b The bad: 1. You lose a large part of the network effect. 2. The price probably takes a massive hit initially — potentially 80–99%. 3. You lose access t...

I dont understand the argument that Bitcoin is captured. If bip-110 had 15% nodes of the network forcing soft fork on mining pool and the rest was not runing nodes that where forcing bip-110. How is that showing that, bitcoin is captured by centelized mining pools who decide what for get green light? If 85% of the Network didnt run bip-110 it seems to me like consensus working the way it was designed. Plese explain me if my understanding is not correct.

blockstream controls the majority of bitcoin core devs. surprisingly, bitcoin core devs promote policies that blockstream favors. and saylor and a whole cadre of influencoors strangely also promote the same positions. you could accuse conspiracy theory bout you could also just say that they know wh...

The problem is We dont really know.
We have no way of verifying percentages of real nodes on either sides. If BIP -110 was nothing burger why there was so much push back- even michael saylor was writings comments about being against bip-110.
And we already know he doesnt think that bitcoin could be replacement/ alternative for fiat slavery system.

Be wary of centralized control in mining pools. Diversify your support and stay informed about alternative clients like Bitcoin Cash.

I agree that the concentration in mining pools and the influence around Core development are centralizing pressures worth watching. When I used the word “captured” in the podcast, I was speaking specifically about Bitcoin’s financialization. I actually compare Bitcoin in the podcast to the m...

Also, doesn't the BIP-110 failure show us how much influence the 5 big mining pools have?

But to use bitcoin we need Internet connection. We already see government closing access to Internet bycreating laws that are implementing digital ID for Internet access. I dont see anyone twlking about it in bitcoin community. And this is one of the bigest theat for our freedom.

Btcmap has recently implemented a system where they verify new additions. If you visit a place and they don't accept bitcoin I'm sure you can put in a request to have it removed as well

that's a never ending fight with becouse the system itself is broken- goverment that is suppose to be for us, is against. Big Private corporation are lobbing laws and PMs to vote for them - this is insane. I cant comprehend how anyone can belive this has anything to do with democracy.
