@nprofile1q... When I say short, I mean like a buzz cut. It feels funny when you touch your hair.

If not, I wouldn't say the wig idea has to go. I have friends and acquaintances who wear cheap wigs without doing any hard maintenance to keep wearing them. They may not look as seamless as the more expensive ones, but they do the job. And they're fun! They're so happy in them as well. It just depends on what's most comfortable to you, look and maintenance-wise.

@nprofile1q... Hope my comment is not disrespectful, I'm not well acquainted with your condition(s) and how you manage it all personally. But maybe instead of a full shave, you could just have it really short? I had it like that for a while and it took off the weight of having to care for my hair as much. Simple shampooing and conditioner did the trick. It also might take a while to grow, but that may depend on various factors, such as genetics, type of hair, etc.
