2/ You know practice I'd be happy to see resurrected by the spree of LLM coding? Literate Programming. Wait! Hear me out. LP has failed in practice because it asks a lot. It asks for good programmers and good writers and least available of all: code worth writing about. But if one of the principle problems with LLM code is that understanding it is the biggest bottleneck, well, perhaps LP could help. Then again it might be awful to give the LLM more room to express itself.

@nprofile1q... It's not painless but the pain happens at design/compile time with Rust. It puts up enough guardrails that multithreaded programming can be done without the fear that, "yes, it works now, but is it a happy accident that it hasn't crashed yet?"

@nprofile1q... I used to do this: Read an article, then save the article as PDF, so I could do a search of that directory when actually did want to go back to it. Fell out of the habit after grad school.
