Is there @pedja some filter reducing what is visible in my disjunctive query? For example with the query from the settings:

Is there a limit to the length of the queries? I have the following in my settings

I mean it would be good to be able to see the disjunctions of all the posts with tags and only the posts with tags I follow, as in #primal. I am trying to understand if I am actually capturing all the posts with those tags or perhaps missing some due to a social network filter perhaps…

I also tried the search without the # but that does not give any relevant results.

Great! In Settings > Home Feed of the primal.net web app, I set the following home page search term

That gives a page of good results with an average of 7 a day.
That is perhaps good to help me get back to work.
Scrolling through those results, I found the following note on the symbol for OR .
Perhaps I'll put another set of political terms to get a more controversy laden feed of results I guess something like #Trans or #RFKJr OR ...

I was there in 1999 and it was the same: some good looking and some not so good looking naked people. But a lot of very good art.

My feeling is that to get around here you have to follow your interests and then meet people you have friendly and hopefully stimulating discussions with.

Speaking as someone who just came to the platform, I could not tell initially if there were a lot of people here or just very few. I did not want to follow all the people that were suggested to me in part because they all seemed overly bitcoin related. (I quite like Lightning btw, so one can slowly be converted :-)

But then not having followed a lot of people, my client was filtering the topics such as #scala. It took me some time to work out that I had to open the the filter on one client from close social network to the extended one (can’t remember quite which web client that was now) to see anything at all.

Then with the extended network set it still does not seem to be a lot of discussion on feeds like #scala or #RDF, well even less than on Mastodon which was not very busy either. So it helped when I worked out to add mostr.pub . Though I think tweets from there should be highlighted differently.

On an open social network one has to be able to see what the intermediary friends of friends are that led one to see a specific post, if only so that one remove some intermediaries that lead to too much spam, but also to understand how people are related.

I think whatever could help foster discussions would help people build communities more quickly.
