It's hard to feel optimistic about even the most positive developments when you've spent the last few months watching your nation's founding document and supreme law completely fail to protect the most basic human rights of an entire state's population.

For Virginians, the sacred freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights rendered null and void by nothing more than a single state election cycle, and the first thing the tyrants did after taking power is set to work to ensure that their party never loses another election.

What can you do when you're too small to fight back and too poor to leave?

It's not like we ignored pandemic-era warnings to flee a woke city full of subway trains and skyscrapers. We live within a mile of a cow pasture and a national forest. Wherever you go, the woke mind-virus will find you. You can run but you can't hide.

A few days shy of 251 years ago, a famous Virginian asked his neighbors, "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?"

The 2026 response to that question is apparently a resounding "Yes!"

Forbid it, Almighty God.

That Tony Fauci's skull has yet to find a Marine sniper's bullet makes me skeptical of Graham's insinuation that military units are free to choose their missions like levels in a video game.

You're probably familiar with the Tate-LaBianca (Manson family) murders but have you ever heard of the Hanafi Massacre, and the hostage crises that it inspired?

Whelton summarized the general mood: "Half the people want the gunmen to come out fighting. The other half want the cops to go in shooting. Everybody wants blood." This frustrated the NYPD, especially Schlossberg, who feared the crowd and the media could negatively affect negotiations.

Then-councilman and future four-term D.C. mayor Marion Barry walked into the hallway after hearing a commotion and was struck by a ricocheting shotgun pellet, which lodged just above his heart.

L. Douglas Heck and Rudy Giuliani had organized a team within the United States Department of Justice aimed at "combating terrorism". Although they claimed that DC police would handle the attacks, they soon brought in two intelligence operatives, Steve Pieczenik and Robert Blum.

He's amazed at how many people in their 50s, 60s and 70s run a Bitaxe. I guess you could call it Bingo for old nerds ๐Ÿ˜‚

Plus, supporting Bitcoin is an easy lift for grouchy old farts who want to nuke a printer-backed government that's spent a half-century enshitifying every aspect of our lives.

We're not all spending our second half of show RV-ing across America, choking down statins and making it rain on a Denny's server.

I've watched too many of my elders ride out their final years in a recliner, shouting at some sucker in a 3 piece. Homie don't play that. I'm gonna kill their money printer or it's gonna kill me.
