It was probably a mistake to look to youtubers for decent smartphone reviews. Of course they're hyper-focused on camera quality when they make their living in front of a camera.

It'd be like getting Adam Curry to review smartphones and wondering why most of the review was about the mic and speaker specs.

We're so psy-op'd that we allowed them to replace our headphone jack, SD-slot and removable battery with a stupid camera hump that makes the phone wobble like the unfortunate diner table caught in the middle of a biker gang brawl.

Turns out Linux has this thing called sudo apt update. You just type it into the Terminal and it goes out and looks for updates. You don't have to open an app store app and dig around for where they moved the 'check for updates' icon this week. ❤

Dang I've been sharing links to podcast episodes via the Podcast Addict app, not realizing that the app is Android-only and their website is full of scammy ads and pop-ups.

Going forward I guess I need to start linking to episodes directly in the Podcast Index.

Not sure if iOS allows the link to auto-open in the user's preferred podcast app but if not, the Index also allows listening directly from the site.

Starting to think my poor posture may be related to my suspicion that desktop OSes really weren't meant to be run on anything with a display smaller than a roadside billboard. No wonder some of you want to do everything inside a terminal window 🤣

OTOH I couldn't imagine the stress levels of discovering a vulnerability that put an insane amount of digital currency at risk and trying to figure out a private way to warn the owner/manager without tipping off every scumbag inside of every three-letter agency on the planet.

How the heck did you super nerds ever use linux before LLMs? Was there like a giant dictionary of terminal commands at every desk?

How could someone possibly commit all of this stuff to memory and still have enough brain cells left to remember menial things like your wife's birthday, or to wipe after you poop?
