I haven't joined in the fun myself but I do enjoy Divine getting more use. Bring on the Vine revival!

Its been one of those weeks. Thankful for the weekend and some downtime.

Frustrating start to the week so far but I'll make it through. Hope everyone's having a good day.

I'm admittedly not fully informed on all of the bitcoin goings on from the last week or so, but as I understand it a particular hardware wallet had weak seed generation or leaked the seed generation algorithm which allowed hackers to reverse engineer seeds and steal bitcoin from those wallets.

The response I've seen to the issue as it relates to bitcoin projects in general feels overblown (not for the people who lost real coins, but for bitcoin projects in general).

Bad products happen all the time, its part of life. When a car manufacturer has a recall we don't try to reengineer the car, we identify the failure, fix the issue and move on. People have been picking tumbler locks forever but tumbler locks are still everywhere.


Obviously everyone needs to do what is best for their situation and take steps to protect their assets, but a knee jerk response and drastic action can often lead people to worse situation than they were already in.

Again, I'm admittedly not in the trenches of this one so I'm happy to hear where I'm wrong and learn.

Its incredible the number of hoops we need to jump through to accomplish basic tasks. What's starts as percieved convenience quickly turns to an impenetrable wall of stupid. (No, I don't need your app, the website works just fine)

I love technology but I will become a Luddite out of spite if I need to.
