It is move in weekend, after the house has finally been finished. The big move will be on Monday, but we will move little stuff in, until Monday.

With the straw down for grass seeding, I’m Noticing water flows. I’m thinking of putting trees out here where the rain gutters currently empty into. And diverting the rain gutters into water tanks maybe eventually a cistern. So this back drainage will be overflow into trees. But once we complete the move. The real observation begins.

I’m thinking of over seeding this because it’s quite late in January and March.

I’m thinking orchard grass and clover, any thoughts? Eventually want to establish fruit trees, chickens, rabbits and sheep (maybe). Southwest Ohio.

The narrative that the stock market is at record highs is incredibly misleading. The dollar has reached record weakness. Trading dollars for a share of a company who is expected to return more dol...

To say that a stock is at a record high the metric you should look at is price of the stock divided by the earnings the stock is expected to generate in the future. Earnings the stock is expected to generate in the future is a forecast and it’s going to be subjective. You can use trailing earnings, or shiller earnings as a proxy, or try something more complicated.

Stocks are at a high though not a the highest they have ever been. Therefore they are overvalued by this historically looking metrics. In order to believe they are not overvalued someone needs to believe the earnings in the future will be about double what they currently are generating. And the narrative you may hear for why earnings will be double in the future compared to what they are currently is beliefs about AI and its impact on efficiency.

Go to local seed store and see if you can get some brown top and there's another I forget that contractors use to get lawns going fast. That's if erosion control is your concern I would still mix clover and other legumes in. Oh winter rye would be another good one

Expected move in date is second week of November. We put the current house up for sale and we are under contract. Things are happening fast. Any good advice about seeding and starting a lawn?

Congrats! As far as lawn goes, have as small a grass area as possible to enjoy, and cover the rest in food growing space would be my recommendation.
