Whatโ€™s the economic incentive to run a #nostr #relay?

Also, are notes stored forever?

Where are they stored?

Who pays for the storage?

You can run a public, private, paid, community, etc. relay. You choose the model. If you want it to be paid, you'll need to offer services to stand out. Maybe one of those is long term storage. Data can disappear at any time. I run my own personal relay to backup my own notes for as long as I see fi...

So when a bank loans money, it is essentially created from nothing as an entry in a database.

But the interest owed is not created. So the interest on the debt must be obtained via new debt (not necessarily by the borrower).

So, it seems lower interest rates would lessen the need for growth (more loans).

But lower interest rates generally result in increased demand for loans (so more growth).
