I've looked at stalwart but it's alarm bells all over. Way too complex. I've always had a complete aversion of email stored in databases.

Postfix and dovecot have been good over the 25 years I've run them, with spamassassin thrown in. I don't receive much spam anyway so it's not working hard. It's a pretty hands-off operation really.

@nprofile1q... we've had the stove on pretty much continuously since early October. It usually gets a bit chilly off and on during October and most of November, but this added 1.5 months to this winter. It's been a real drag. 🙄

@nprofile1q... at some point you will have to make up your mind whether you want to burn money on campers or on trips, or buy a house somewhere. Probably attempting all isn't really going to work.

@nprofile1q... best wishes to her and you! I went through something similar, from early January to mid February, and it was exhausting. I functioned for work (mostly), but otherwise slept every single free minute while going through various flu-like pains up and down the body. It's mostly over now, but it was not fun!

I will soon virtualize it to get rid of one of the two hardware servers, and at that point I will move to Rocky as it cuts down on maintenance even further.

@nprofile1q... "cloud" really is the ultimate argument against commercial software. Give me an annual budget of 500 million and I could easily write and maintain the needed software and run the data centers.
