People moved out of MySpace, Orkut, Digg, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Second Life and even Instagram. They are being forced out of TikTok in many countries.

Exodus is inevitable in social media. Even Threads will turn into an old age home.

Fediverse is like email and nostr is even more radical, so those two will be around longer.

In China, during the cultural revolution, there was two types of payment which were mandatory to buy anything. e.g. if you want to buy rice you have to pay Yuan + another credit that government allows you to have rice. You cannot simply bring Yuan, and as that will not get you the rice, you had to bring another type of credit also.

These Green Credits remind me of that.
