Announcing Segregated Data: a prunable, script-isolated block region for data carriage.
Much as I dislike the idea of contributing a Bitcoin soft-fork proposal, I believe this is well principled and may lead towards broad consensus on the data-carriage problem.
I'll announce more in the coming days, in the meantime feel free to read the BIP drafts and ask questions.
