If the Smiley Button addon managed emojos a federated way like Mastodon does, it would be easier to accept as part of the core, but we aren’t there yet.

@nprofile1q... Because all operating systems have their Unicode smiley button now, and so the Friendica Smiley Button is largely redundant, and I'm not even sure it shows anything but text for non-Friendica systems.
