Apartment is demanding I mail them $93 by July 9th because I moved out may 1st and disconnected my electricity on may 11th when technically I had rent paid until may 29th since they forced me to pay the whole month.

I have no idea how this is legal when I disconnected the account and service via the utility company and hadn’t stepped foot in the apartment after may 1st.

All of this was because I had to pay $6k to break me leash since I was suddenly laid off and my new job forced me to start within a month 8 hours away leaving me little time to negotiate or seek legal counsel.
