Building high quality software on decentralized protocols is the hardest of hard modes. If you’re out there building on hard mode I want to follow you. Tell me about your project. 👇

I'm building a decentralized self-describing graph dataformat 'InstructionGraph'. Basically; you start reading at the root object, which describes the format, and the root node point to other things (such as elemental types, application lists, instructions on how to install, etc.) that all contain their own instructions, potentially point to other things, etc. Every node has an author, identities are pubkeys, each object is cryptographically signed by its author.

So the data-format is designed to be transmitted by any means possible, definitely not only IP networks. Could be QR codes stuck to a wall if you wanted.

In the current implementation the data can be transported over a rest-api. Since the graph contains web-pages as well, the applications that use this 'database' just live in the database itself.

See: https://dataverse001.net/ - Also have a look at my long-read about this.

Cypherpunks write code! The Cypherpunk Manifesto was published on March 9, 1993 by Eric Hughes. Happy Cypherpunk Day 🖤 https://blossom.primal.net/9bc0dfcc54836d994ef7d3573c7f81e257c7843d089fa618...

I'd have to say though;

For me personally, Cypherpunk is more about *control* than privacy.

This is also mostly true for cryptocurrency. Privacy in bitcoin is dependent on me never revealing which addresses belong to me. As soon as I convert it to fiat, it's actually significantly less private then paying with a visa card or whatever.

However, bitcoin is *mine*. I'm in control. No company gets to decide whether I have access to my wallet. Nobody is going to deny me access to my data by going bankrupt or by being pressured by a government.

Just stop using that fedcoin. There is monero since years. Why on the world would someone ever use a fedcoin designed from the start to tell everyone how much money you have in your wallet and to whom you are paying. There is a reason why governments are supporting that fedcoin while heavily censo...

I really can’t wrap my head around how hyped China is about OpenClaw, from companies to the government.

In computer security it's always been a mortal sin to interpret data as instructions.

With LLMs, any type of external data you feed it can be interpreted by the LLM as instructions. You *don't* want external data being fed to your LLM outside of your control.
I tried running it in isolated environments, but it doesn't actually *do* anything without access to your whatsapp, email, etc.

Friends with a higher tolerance for catastrophe than me; They love it. They tell me that it allows them to automate parts of their lives.
