A stablecoin is only as secure as it's host chain. Zano is not inherently secure. No network that is PoS (or hybrid PoS) is secure because the ledger is not maintained in a decentralized capacity.

If the network goes down for any reason the stakeholders have to get together and decide the current state of the ledger for a "reboot".
