This blurred screen is just gay. Either show the content or don’t show anything at all. Extremely tiresome to just scroll through blurred bs.

People aren’t even making stuff locally anymore. It feels like everything is imported. I mean, i’m sure it exists, but i don’t even know where to go to find it. Almost everything is chinese made.

This is the only way we get to have personal identity and control of that in the age of advanced autonomous AI agents. Npub + zap is proof of human.

If you add human readable naming on top of existing npub functionality, that would make it easier to scale Nostr/log in with Nostr and reach people who live outside of Bitcoin.

I doubt that «add my npub» has any competitive advantage compared to «I’m Erik. Add me anywhere you like because I’m Erik across all the platforms».

i spend a lot of time thinking about how i might help nostr succeed faster

HNS + Nostr? Decentralized naming solution that allows you to store your Nostr NPUB as TXT record both off and onchain?

NIP05 is great but most users do not host websites, right? Attaching your npub to human readable domain/username might be a better option for most internet users.

Check out http://imtbl.dprofile.hns.to/ or imtbl.dprofile/ in browsers which support HNS (MASQ, Carbon browser, Aloha). dprofile is in beta right now but I can already attach all my socials (npub included) to one HNS domain I own without reliance on any 3rd party.

This isn’t about diverging feature sets, this is about changing a core feature where breaking it would only add more dev and user confusion. Sure you can do it in your client, but web clients and most other clients wouldn’t be able to see it. I definitely would discourage clients to implement it...
