That reminds me of the dude saving a scorpion parable; the scorpion kept stinging him but he continued to save it from the perilous situation it was in. The observer kinda dumbfounded asks why?! So he responds that stinging is the scorpion's nature and saving it, was his. Stopping yourself from bei...

I understand you totally hey, but remember being kind doesn't mean you allow yourself to be used or abused. It just means you are always ready + willing to show kindness to anyone but wise enough to know when someone wants to use you. Discernment is always key and sometimes it's hard to notice the d...

Well i understand you can't detach yourself from your 'product' entirely, but at some point you have to learn to let it go....idiots drilling holes is one such point

Being an artist makes no sense, and I say this knowing I cannot not be an artist (I've tried).

1. You work your skills, which is hard.

2. You put those skills to the service of something that makes sense to you, which is hard to figure out.

3. You create something, you have to find someone in the world who wants it and it's willing to pay what you ask for. Which might be the hardest part.

4. Then you ship it, and you pray for it to arrive undamaged and safely. You have no power over this. You can create the perfect box for the piece, and someone can still decide it's a good idea to drill holes into it.
