The only business strategy I can imagine would be to target people who are sick of being used and abused by their software and services. Those are probably the only people who would pay for an alternative to the current offerings. And even then you're still struggling against the network effect you mentioned. You're then asking them to pay to use a service that almost no one else will see. It's a tiny network that they're paying to use. But it's honest at least. Some people value that. I think the most likely scenario is that those people will continue using both as necessary. I do. I still pay for YouTube Premium. Only a few of the channels I like are on Nostr. I'd have very limited media access if I only used ethical options. That's sick and sad but reality for me.

so stop hoping that faecalbook drones will colonize nostr. isn't the clawdbot drones already too much? better to make it *harder* for them if you ask me. mass adoption of nostr is its obituary.
