This is true to a point I think. I'm not sure I'd say it makes sense with $2000 bottles. But $20 a bottle is definitely a lot better than 3 buck chuck. And either are better than cooking wine.

Once you get really high though you hit diminishing returns, especially when adding the alterations from heat and dilution of flavor with food.

๐Ÿค I still delineate cooking wine from drinking wine. You don't have to cook with the absolute bottom of the barrel, but you don't necessarily Need to dump an $80 Barbera d'Alba into your bolognese.
