No doubt it is happening/will happen. The worry is that less intelligent people will not be able to use it. Anyone can shoot a gun, almost anyone can operate a car. It is not about the will, but the ability... If we take this far enough, we can split into two species, similar to the Eloi and Morlocks in that old sci-fi novel.
The only question is the percentage and whether we can lower it. For example, now it might be 80% AI-compatible versus 20% AI-incompatible, significant enough for a societal shift. As time goes by, will the number of AI-incompatible people increase because enhancements become too complex, or decrease because better AI products and UX lower the intellectual threshold?
It is also possible that the split is 99.5 vs. 0.5% and I'm completely wrong worrying about it.
