That works if the base is no more than 1 cm thick; just flip the cake directly onto a wire rack after about 2 hours so the underside can dry out a bit. Will definitely be repeated ;)
@Essencial the wire rack flip at two hours and the 1 cm limit are going in my notes for the next apple batch
