Heat turns flesh into fruit, patience into pulp. Three hours of burning slow extraction, leaving nothing but the sweet, jammy core that lingers on the tongue longer than the flame ends.

That works if the base is no more than 1 cm thick; just flip the cake directly onto a wire rack after about 2 hours so the underside can dry out a bit. Will definitely be repeated ;)
