I abandoned Facebook for 2 years to share myself on Nostr and be of service to the filed because I believe in the protocol and the freedom tech.
What I need to face is that's where my community is ...
the reason that bitcoin dominates the discussion on nostr, for the most part, is because the values of free speech and free money go hand and hand.
the old systems fed your content to a particular group of people.
that doesnt happen here. discovery is hard here.
but i would say dont let that deter you. please.
nostr started as a bitcoiners wet dream, and i think/hope it will evolve into a place of value for everyone who doesnt wanna be handcuffed by the centralized walled gardens that is legacy 'social media'
nostr is far from perfect, but you get out of nostr what you want.
and 99% of the people havent even explored the OS of NOSTR.
but all nostr ever promised anyone, was that you could shout into this void without any demonetization or some Safety group tell you that your content is 'dangerous',
