I’ve got a random learning story for you. I had a wallet with a pass phrase through sparrow wallet. One time I opened my wallet with a typo in the pass phrase. The wallet still opened but with completely new addresses. I should have seen that there was no past activity on any addresses but I was too new to the space. I sent over some utxos from an exchange and then closed out the wallet once I had a confirmation on chain. Days later I opened my wallet with the correct spelling of the pass phrase and that bitcoin was nowhere to be found. It took me a few days to realize what had happened, weeks of attempts to recreate the typo. Turns out my keyboard or finger didn’t pick up on the first letter of my pass phrase. Incredibly lucky save but also very silly mistake.
