It all just depends on the type of cooling the center will use. I don’t know anything about the aspect of temperature regulation in a data center, assuming that’s what the water is for. In residential applications there’s Geo thermal open or closed systems, probably involving cooling towers? I doubt that the cold water is taken in, hot water dumped. It would just take way too much water, I don’t think any ground water could support that type of operation for very long. You see this type of head line a lot though with little to no information on the actual water usage.
