I think the war for individual users is already over for them.. just a matter of time before streaming expert models allow frontier-level AI on typical consumer hardware.

I am not saying everyone will move to local inference.
I'm saying corporations are burning money to get customers with hope of then raising prices to stay profitable. And the moment they do this, they jump ship to anyone else who's willing to burn money to have them.
It's actually amazing for everyone, insane value from competition.
