I've integrated ZapThreads on my website. That probably didn't work. I've mentioned nostr on my telegram and youtube channel several times. Probably didn't work either.
It's not just about specifically technical or social action, it's also about figuring out what users actually want.
I recently made a comment on a telegram thread that relates to some euphoria around yet another centralized blogging platform. Most importantly, the post was about how easy it is to build a network of good followers while platform is not popular enough yet.
I told how sad I am, hearing the unsustainable-by-design centralized platform promotions over and over again, taking into account that whoever does this could actually be complex enough to understand why this became harmful today.
Somebody curious asked for alternatives with Russian-speaking people. I introduced her nostr, gave her a couple of fast enough web clients, and shared my experience: there are Russian-speaking people here; however, they don't necessarily post in Russian; at the same time they willingly comment and like posts written in Russian. She expressed interest.
