I don't think this is a question anymore. Smart people are becoming 10x smarter. It's not either or situation, this will happen all at the same time. Some people will stay dumb or even become dumber (we see this as an effect of socialism already for decades).

The question is how many less intelligent people will make use of this opportunity.

No doubt it is happening/will happen. The worry is that less intelligent people will not be able to use it. Anyone can shoot a gun, almost anyone can operate a car. It is not about the will, but the ability... If we take this far enough, we can split into two species, similar to the Eloi and Morlock...
