REAL LIFE RUSSIAN VILLAGE SUPERSTITIONS UPDATE:
A cheburek stand with extremely low filling made a village girl accuse them of using dog meat. I told her I’d tried dog a couple times in Asia and it was better than those chebureki. She, in complete earnestness, asks me if dog meat is really a way to treat tuberculosis. That’s what many in her village believe is true.
Unlike the wolf pussy talismans, which I was able to trivially find on Yandex marketplace in multiple oblasts all across Russia, I am unable to easily verify that this belief is widespread beyond her village. But it probably is.
