Any single answer can't be a solution, but if you think about the directions we've been moving...
Increasing our capacities for communication across distances. Most of the global cannonical knowledge (think about from enlightnment literature to recent discoveries), is accessible and translatable/transferrable with a single prompt. But we have limited capacities to verify what's at the other side of these distant communication channels, or the intentions of their framing.

Being more friendly with someone across the world than our neighbors/cashiers also means individuals across the world who don't know you have more access to you than your neighbors/family.

You can recognize that at __some__ point, things will buckle. Avalanches happen because the same things build up over time, until it can't. Large problems build up and force change from failing to deal with the smaller problems.

So you address the smaller problems where you can. You go in the opposite directions of where things are headed, and build more robusteness in your life.

for me, what does that last part look like? Working to build a closer community, living "communally" in some sense of the word.
