This is a pretty cool idea. I honestly do not know that my kids, when they were still kids, would have been able to sit and crochet for more than maybe 10 minutes. Then again I made those lanyard things as a kid so maybe they would. If they like it that could be an awesome thing, hand em a pattern and a basket of yarn and let them go to town.
