No, but since they board the plane first they should go to the back. The plane should be boarded back to front

Not always. IIRC Air India for example struck tail first due to a positive nose attitude. There are some studies about this, I think the best seats are in the middle-ish, but still thin chances of survival.

Always thought the same thing 🍻

I always thought the same thing, I used to fly unaccompanied minors when I was kid, we got to sit right at the back, next to the flight attendants.

Plus, you don't have the riffraff walking through your area. The only disadvantage is deplaning. You try to prevent the front 2/3 of the plane from leaving and you'll have a riot. Since deplaning is the worst part of air travel (aside from all the bogus security), first class will likely always re...

People in first class look as miserable as the plebs in the back: scrolling their feed.

In the back, your odds of surviving a flight stay go from 0.9999998 to 0.9999999 but your odds of getting off the plane within 5 minutes of arriving at the terminal go from 0.99 to 0.05. NB: I made up these numbers.

Safety should not be a privilege of the wealthy. Just as little as privacy.

Don't fly much? Who would pay more to be last off the plane?
AnnSofiNovelist · 31w
They're not paying for survival, they're just paying for a comfier seat and less people to rub elbows with in case of a crash 😅🤣
Rodrigo · 31w
Wait, you're telling me that there are more seats behind that curtain thingy?

First class is meant for comfort, not survival rates.

actually it is the middle.

Isn't part of the experience with first class that you don't get to hear as much noise coming from the engines as people in the back or closer to the engines. Seating which is most likely to survive in a crash depends on how the plane makes impact... and that is determined by the pilot (who may wan...

On top the airplane might be the safest option, even when it comes to comfort and best view.

Air circulation (smoke) in an airplane cabin goes from the front to the rear. To be considered in case of fire on board.
